Deck the halls y'all! It's Eggnog time! Believe it or not the origins of the tasty American xmas treat are actually from early medieval Britain when monks would make a festive brew of eggs and figs. The ingredients of milk, eggs, and sherry, were foods of the wealthy, so the frink was used for toasts to prosperity and good health. It was only in the early 18th century when the drink became famous in America and related to winter holidays as rum was much cheaper there.

Since then the drink has been a success on both sides of the pond, but topping out at up to 400kcal per cup, we have thought we needed to find a healthier option! We hope you enjoy your eggnog smoothie inspired by the Puerto Rican Coquito or Coconut Smoothie full of only good and healthy ingredients. Feel free to add a drop of sherry if you are feeling festive!!
