We have all being going through some very difficult and unprecedented times recently. All the changes around have made us stronger and more resilient. And now it’s time not to give up but rather move forward and accept the changes and difficulties of the current situation. Although we are not able to control these changes, luckily we can control our mental balance, physical health and our attitude towards the fluctuations and unpredictability. We are happy to share 5 simple tips, which will help you to stay healthy, balanced and positive during these current unprecedented challenges.
1. Start your day with a BIG smile.
Whatever happens in our life, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. So, anything difficult that’s going on in your life at the moment will end and the sun will shine again. Just remember that! Every morning when you are in front of your mirror, simply smile. Smile to yourself, smile to your future, smile to the whole world. And you will see the change. Your smile will help you to stay positive and motivated.
2. Treat yourself
Who, if not yourself, will take care of you? There is nothing wrong with loving and spoiling yourself, especially when you are under pressure. The winter is on its way and we can catch less and less sunlight, which helps us to stay happy. So, we need to find another way to raise our hormone of happiness. And a simple solution is dark chocolate! Dark chocolate is a healthy indulgence which is enriched with antioxidants and packed with various vitamins and minerals such as Copper, Iron, Magnesium, Zinc, etc. It has no sugar and will therefore unlikely influence your weight. Fortunately for us, dark chocolate triggers the release of endorphins, chemicals in the brain, which produce the feeling of happiness. So how about a bar of dark chocolate?
3. Practice mindfulness
To stay mentally balanced it’s vital to be aware of the present moment and understand your feelings, emotions and current thoughts. There are a great deal of techniques to practice mindfulness. You can meditate by simply focusing on your ‘third eye’, which is located between your eyebrows or practice pranayama (breathing exercises). For example, the simplest exercise is to inhale through one nostril keeping the second closed and then exhale through the second one. Just close your eyes and practice it for a few minutes.
4. Write down ‘goodies’
When we are stressed or unhappy we fail to notice that actually good things still happen around us. We are so absorbed by our negative emotions that we forget to live our life. So, let’s ignore negativity and start counting the good things happening around us. We can start to consider what we are grateful for. It is a very simple practice, which will move us further towards happiness. Start noticing and writing down your blessings. Buy a cute notebook and before going to bed begin making notes about what good has happened today.
5. Detox your body to detox your mind.
You know that our body and mind are connected. If our body is poisoned or in bad health we feel frustrated, anxious and passive. It is important to stay hydrated, detoxified and filled with vitamins and minerals. Fruits and vegetables are full of vitamins and it’s vital to include them in our daily ration. However, during autumn and especially winter we need to enrich our diet with healthy supplements to be sure that our diet is balanced. We suggest you try our Body Detox, which is an immune boosting product, which includes antioxidants such as Alfalfa, Ginger and Nettle Leaf, and Bodyfit Multi-Vitamins, which is a blend of all essential vitamins and minerals for general wellness.
